A morning together

Coffee, God’s Word and prayer. This is how Tuesday mornings unfold in Nõmme.

This is how Tuesday mornings in Nõmme are organised:

5.30–6.30 am

Preparations in the kitchen.

6.30–7.00 am

Arriving, sharing coffee and breakfast, conversation, writing down private prayer requests.

7.00–7.10 am

Worship — two songs.

A short prayer: “Our Father in heaven, thank You that we have been able to gather in the name of Your Son Jesus. Jesus, we gather around You and say: Welcome, Holy Spirit! We ask You to open Your Word in every man’s heart as we read it. Thank You, Jesus!”

7.10–7.40 am

Reading the Word: from the Old Testament, Proverbs or Psalms, the Gospels and the letters of the apostles — usually one chapter from each of these four parts.

A welcome to those here for the first time! Newcomers introduce themselves and say where they come from.

Thanksgiving and prayer requests: every brother who wishes may briefly and clearly share a reason for thanks or a prayer request.

7.40–8.15 am

— Prayer. Open prayer.

We also have a box for private prayer requests. On arriving, you can write down requests that you do not wish to have read out or spoken aloud. After we have prayed over them, they are later burned unopened.

8.15–8.30 am

— Intercession. New men, those who have had birthdays during the week from Tuesday to Tuesday, and anyone who comes to mind are invited into the centre. We lay hands on them and pray. Sometimes we pray a shared prayer, with the prayer leader speaking and the others repeating.

We pray over the private prayer requests and prayer cloths!

We finish with the Lord’s Prayer, holding hands and lifting them towards heaven (1 Timothy 2:8).

From 8.30 am

the fellowship continues. Sometimes there is further prayer, spontaneously and without a coordinator, individually or in groups.

Some brothers leave around 10.00 am.

You can arrive and leave any time between 6.00 and 10.00 am, as your schedule allows.

All men are welcome!
